Is Trump Winning? by Robert Gore

What there is that can be won, anyway.

STRAIGHT LINE LOGIC

Mainstream analysis has been wrong for so long, why start believing it now?

SLL has run a series of articles (“Plot Holes,” “Trump and Vault 7,” “Calling a Bluff?” “Let’s Connect the Dots,” “Powerball, Part One,” “Powerball, Part Two”) advancing interrelated hypotheses. I think Trump is more political savvy than most people give him credit for. He’s always come off as a shyster to me. I lay the blame for the USFL fiasco mostly at Trump’s feet for trying a shortcut (merger) instead of taking the time to build a viable league. He’s bombastic, and spent years supporting big government Democrats. But for all that, he has always seemed to love the USA. I still don’t trust him, but I’ve been pleasantly pleased with his policy choices so far. I think he knows how to play the game very well. It would not surprise me to learn that either he or his advisers are accomplished illusionists. Utilizing the misdirection that the DNC already put in play, and knowing it’s void of substance, really only strengthens his hand.

He was pop culture, I never even looked at him, but he’s better than we had any right to hope for. There is nothing to be done now but batten down the hatches and he seems to be doing that in every way possible against stiff opposition.
